Outpatient rehabilitation services can provide innumerable benefits for patients with a range of diagnoses, including:
Physical Therapists help to improve function. Treatments are designed to strengthen, coordinate and restore muscle activity necessary for walking, wheeling, balance and coordination, as well as aiding in pain control to allow increased function.
Speech Pathologists evaluate and treat patients whose ability to communicate has been lost or impaired, or who are having difficulty swallowing. They are able to assess swallow function using video and x-ray imaging to visually determine the function of patient’s mechanical swallow and risk of aspiration.
